Tiny Tim Thanksgiving...2009

Jamie art...thanks Jen, I am really glad that you do this with him.

This is how our Thanksgiving began last night...play time!

Then this morning I did my run with my girls in the neighborhood and rushed back to the couch to see the Macy's Day Parade. I love to do this every year. Look, my BFF, Santa!

Then Steven headed into the Kitchen.

This is our Master Chef.

Aubrey and Jamie trying to keep themselves out of trouble!

This is what the big hulla-ba-loo was about! All that time in the kitchen, for maybe 15 minutes at the table...priceless!

It was fun...I love my babies!

Then the Pilgrim came out in Aubrey...

We went to Chris and Jen's for dessert. We had a great time, just like the past few years.

When we got home, there was a package on the porch.

Aubrey thinks she know what it is.

She was right, Jack is back!

Let the Magic begin...Shopping starting at Midnight!

Adventures with Daddy

Steve posting this time. Now that we've shifted from daycare to Kindergarten, all of a sudden we've got all these days with Aubrey home and no childcare. Funny how that works. So I spent the day with the Polliwogs, which was great. At 5:00 am Jamie decided that he couldn't possibly sleep another wink, so the day started early... no sleeping in on the day off :). Later after Aubrey got up and ready, we headed out to do our Thanksgiving grocery shopping.

Our first adventure happened at Food Lion. They have Christmas trees out front already, and last week Aubrey informed the employees that it was too early for them to be out. Today the trees got even. As we were walking in I accidentally bumped one; it fell over and totally took Aubrey out. She was fine, but it was funny to hear her laughing underneath the tree as I'm trying to get it stood back up. To complete the picture: a little old lady came over, put down her cranberry sauce, and helped me get the tree straightened up while Jamie watched. Do I lose my man card for that? Later Aubrey and I were joking about the tree attacking her, which she thought was very entertaining.

This evening we let Aubrey and Jamie play in the tub, and before we knew it Aubrey got Jamie's hair washed and got him bathed for us. Then she got him out of the tub, dried him off, put a diaper on him, and got his PJ's on. We were always proud of her just for washing her own hair... this had us floored! Such a big girl. She goes back and forth between not wanting to do anything herself to trying to be the best helper she can be. This was one of the "helper" days. She did great, but I guess now I'll have to show her which side of the diaper is the front :)

Happy Thanksgiving! We've got our "Tiny Tim" turkeys (2 cornish hens) and a good but easy meal planned. We've got a lot to be thankful for, including all of you that keep up with our lives and keep us in your hearts.

Miley Cyrus and Thanksgiving...

So it finally came...the day we would go to the Miley Cyrus concert! Aubrey was so excited. I still can't believe we got tickets! So here we are before and after. We went with Sarah and Katie. We had an awesome time...Miley you rock! We could not have ask for a better girls night out. "GNO"-let's go!

After the show we had to track back to the car in this nasty cold rain. The girls were troopers!
Today was Aubrey's Thanksgiving Breakfast at school. She was so excited about this breakfast. She has been practicing for a couple of weeks.

Steven is home.

This week has been a busy week, and Steven has been in New York all week. He got home last night. So, of course I have him busy as I am writing...he he he! We are going in on steam cleaner rental with a few neighbors and well he is cleaning for me. Gosh, I love him. Anyway, I survived again with no Steve. It is tough, but I did it. So, now we get to play all weekend. We are having a few people over to have some birthday cake. Several of us had birthdays this fall and we decided to have a collective kind of thing. It works, and cake who wants to miss that. Thanks Joel for having yours this weekend, that way we could make the party happen for real.

So, then Sunday I am going to see the new Twilight movie. I can't wait. I have read (listened) to the books and I am nuts over this series. So, a few of the girls in my running group asked me to go. Then Sunday night...Miley Cyrus. We are going to her concert. Which almost did not happen. Her tour bus over turned this morning, and a driver was killed. Sad, but they say that it is still going to happen. We are excited, I have not told Aubrey yet. Sarah and Katie are going with us. So we will tell the girls tomorrow. Anyway, so not much more going here. Have a great weekend.

One other thing...we had 2 other Birthday's this week. Granny had hers on Sunday and Grandma Marilyn had hers on Thursday. We hope you both enjoyed your special days. We love yall.

Observation night...

We got to view in on the classes tonight. It was fun. There is something cute I wanted to share. When we were getting dressed for class, I told her to put on some pants over her dance outfit because we would be going out to dinner. I told her to throw on some pants. She then asked if she could wear the "wackie" pants. I told her I wasn't sure what she mean by "wacki" pants. She said "Yes you do". I quickly responded back..."No Aubrey, you need to describe them". She threw her hands to her head and said, "I am...those 'Wackie' pants...the girl scout 'Wacki' pants...Mommm!" Then, it hit me. "Aubrey do you mean...Khaki pants?" She said "yes, those". My, my the things mothers have to figure out.

Jamie is having a good week. He sat through this dance stuff really well. Sorry, short post, but it is late.
