One sick Polliwog.

This was yesterday morning. This the start of our day. Jamie has 2 changes of his clothes already. I am sorry that we have been a bit deliquent with the posting. When I picked Jamie up from school they told me that he had been throwing up. So, I ran to the walk-in clinic where they go. The doctor said that it is a bug and that he will have diarrhea. So, I kept him him and Aubrey home to deal with that. I was afraid that Aubrey would get sick and I would have to go and get her. She was fine and I took her to dance. Steven came and kept Jamie. So,this has been our saga.

One cute thing was that the dance teacher had put little red circles on the girls cheeks tonight. They have been acting out the nut cracker. They will perform it next week, don't worry I will remember the camera.
JACK REPORT:

Aubrey has had a few trying days. She is trying really hard, however a few bad decisions here and there. We are expecting a call from Santa Wednesday night. Then Thursday we meeting Melissa, Chase, and Haley at the Mall. We are planning on seeing the big guy in person!

All rolled into one weekend.

This weekend has been CRAZY! Where do we start. So, you all know about Friday. I stayed up until 3:30 cleaning the house. Then 7:00 rolled around, and up we jumped. We had to be at Melissa's at 8:30. So, we made it. Melissa and I headed out. We parked one car at the end of the parade, and the other near the beginning. We walked forever to get to our float. We had a great time on the float. We had to constantly remind the girls to "SMILE BIG" and "WAVE BIG"! As Melissa would say "FAKE IT, 'TIL YOU MAKE IT"! The girls wanted to just sit watch the people as we rode by. Oh, well. It was fun. We headed back to the hot dog joint! It was fun. Aubrey gets a kick out of coke in a bottle.

Can you believe it! They even had a Christmas zebra. After we left there Aubrey and I headed to the car place. We had to get my emissions checked and we had to get our car cleaned. It was nice. I have a totally clean car.

When we got home Aimee came to babysit. We had to finish some Santa stuff. Then I took Steven on a date. Sara from work told me about this place in Carrboro. I have been so excited to take him. I didn't know what they served. It was all in the name. Steve has a little fetish over Armadillos. He always has. So, he really got a kick over this.

So, I found this bow on my tree. I didn't put it there. Steve didn't put it there. Aubrey decided that she would make this out of tissue and put it on my tree. I don't have the heart to take it off. Too cute!
This morning we were up and running again. Aubrey and Steve started decorating outside. Then, Jamie went down for a nap, Aubrey and I headed to Durham to Sam's Club. Steven finished the outside, and finished the crown molding in the Auburn room. He also went to the Muse's and helped TJ to hang some crown in the house. When the polliwogs got up from their naps we went to Wal-Mart.

Tonight was movie night, we watched The Polar Express, Aubrey really liked it. I have a few pictures tonight. Most of them are of Aubrey, she was opening her chest from Grandma Robin, she loved it. She kept stopping to put the orniments on the trees. Also, Jamie love to play with the nativity set. I have some pics of this. He also started doing some "push-ups," and I got a picture of this too. He is cute.

JACK REPORT:

This elf thing is pretty awesome! She is really enjoying hunting for him. And she remembers that Jack will tell Santa. This has been fun.

Whatta day!

This has been an long day. I had my work Christmas Party today. After the party we got to leave. So, Steven and I played Santa all afternoon. When we finished we picked up the polliwogs and headed home to eat. Tonight we had the Mebane Christmas Parade. All of the neighbors met up and at the pizza joint. We were to late and met up with everyone at the Parade. We had a great time. Aubrey did not get a nap today and we were really worried how that would pan out. She did great. We received a package on that porch when we got back. It was from Grandma Robin and Grandpa Bernie. We opened enough to see a beautiful Christmas trunk full of things. We decided to wait until Aubrey gets up to open the trunk. She fell asleep in the car on the way home.
This is the funniest part of the Parade. They are always here. We really like these Hillbillies!
This is a neat Tarheel Car.
This is the band at the beginning, they were great.
Here is the gang...

So, we have all of the trees done. I had to stay up tonight to clean, so I took a few pictures of the trees downstairs. I am so glad that we are making a little progress. Aubrey is in a parade tomorrow. I will post more tomorrow.

Here is Aubrey getting dressed yesterday. She wanted to show me how it would look! She is so funny at times.

JACK REPORT:
Aubrey is doing pretty good. She handled the parade with no nap pretty well.

Mommy delicacy/rehab/energizer/should I go on?

So, today I snuck away. I went to the dentist. No babies, no children...pure calmness. It was so quiet, I kept closing my eyes! I was afraid that I would fall asleep. Needless to say that euphoria ended too soon. So, as a mommy I treated myself... I went to starbucks. Since I don't get peddies...or meddies, or waxies...I decided a cup of $5.00 coffee could work and perhaps energize me. After that it was on! I went to the bowling alley to pay for Aubrey's B'day party. Then, off to Big Lots, I just wanted ideas...no inspiration today. :(! Then I to the party outlet to get supplies for Aubrey's Party. Task completed.

Then we got the kids to bed and found out about our coach. Oh...my, we are not happy about this decision. We are going to miss our coach. Thank goodness we got to see him coach his last game in the stadium! WOW! We are depressed. COACH TUBBERVILLE WE LOVE YOU!

JACK REPORT:

Aubrey is doing great! However she didn't get her nap, she handled herself well today!

Meet Jack our Elf!

So, last night she thought about what to name him. She told Steven this morning his name is Jack. Jack came out of the box last night and sat on the shelf of the bakers rack. Tonight he heads back to the North Pole to meet with Santa. He will be back in the morning for Aubrey to find him. Another rule that I forgot to share is that he can not speak to her. This is per Santa.

Other than the Jack situation, not much is going on. We had dance tonight. Then the girls went to the Blue Ribbon. Steven meet us there tonight. We got them bathed and in bed. Then we got the dinning room tree done. It is now, after 10:00 and we are headed to bed. So, good night, sleep tight!

Did you remember....

Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit? We didn't. Again it is really hard. Steven reminded me before we left the house, and I was bummed for a moment. Anyway, today was December 1st. When we came home an elf was sitting at our door step (in a box of course). All the way from the north pole. Santa sent him. Here is a picture of Aubrey opening the box.

So, we opened the package and told Aubrey that tonight daddy would read about the elf in the book at bedtime. All night she would ask questions about this elf. We would tell her we don't know that we have to read the book. So, after bath time we watched some of Twice upon a Christmas. After that it was straight to bed with the elf book.

Tonight she learned a few things about this elf. You have to give it a name. Every night it flies home to the North Pole to speak with Santa about how you acted, (naughty or nice). When it comes back each day it will be in a different place, and she will have to look for him. She can never touch him...its magic will rub off and it can never go home. So, we will keep you informed on the elf...! I can't wait to see what she will name him. (PS-Mom, thanks for this new tradition).
Robin, you are going to get a kick out what this elf looks like. It looks so much like the elves that you gave me that was on your tree we you were a little girl.

So, one more of our other little Polliwog:
