Burrr!

7 degrees this morning! None of the snow melted yesterday, so we'll be hitting the slopes again today. The sun is shining bright, but there's about 1-2 inches of packed snow/ice on the roads and the high is 35. So I doubt we'll have school tomorrow. Who's staying home with Aubrey?... Time for Christy and I to play paper, rock, scissors.

Snow Cones and Sledding Fun!

We had a lot of fun yesterday, but it was burrr cold! Our official snowfall total was 7-8 inches. The snow was too powdery for snowmen and snowballs. In the morning we made real snow cones, then in the afternoon we found a good hill for sledding with the neighbors. Aubrey eHere's some pictures.

Getting ready for snow fun!

Here's what we woke up to this morning. We'll have another post later after we get out in the snow. These are the "before" pictures.

Here's Aubrey's happy snow dance/song. Think she's excited?

Poo Poo on the Potty

Good job, Jamie! He got one out today on the potty before bathtime... his first ever! We said HI to the poopoo, then he got to flush it and say BYE, BYE POOPOO. Probably a good thing we haven't gotten a new camera yet. This post is better without pictures :)

Quick note

Sorry...the camera is still broken. Don't worry, Steven took it apart. It actually won! It is so dead. Things in NC, are getting back to normal. We have had an odd week. Aubrey went back to school for Tues and Wed. Then she was out for Thurs and Fri. So, I had to take off to be with her. So, things are still a little wacky for us. Jamie stayed home with us yesterday, but today he is back with Mrs. Jen. We are looking at some cleaning today, so that is why this is a quick note. Then, Aubrey is heading to the dentist with me. She wants to go shopping! Thanks Granny...she is all excited.

Our big trip...

We headed south for the long weekend. We stayed with Nikki and David. They live in Tuscaloosa and we had a family get together at my cousin's house in Birmingham. Thank you Leigh Ann and Jamie for being such great hosts. Then, we also met up with Steven's family for lunch here in Tuscaloosa. Then worst part...my camera broke. So, these are borrowed pics from Nikki. So there are no pictures of Steven's family, since I didn't have my camera.
Here is my sister Nikki...she has a baby on the way. We don't know yet what "it" is. However, there is lots of love for it.

This is my "BFF" Susanne Pugh. She was able to join us, this was the easiest weekend. We didn't have to travel around to much with the kids once we were here.
It was an 11 hour drive down.

Here are all the little ones. Everyone thinks Jamie looks just like my Dad. Uncle Gerry said he remembers when Dad looked just like Jamie.

Here are the cousins. All the girls and Nick.

Here are "The Sisters". We are so thankful for these ladies.
We had a great time. We are so glad that were able to meet Grandma and Papa Ed, Chris, and Kyle for lunch today. We are really excited for our next gathering. We missed getting to see Papa and Mimi, however I am sure we will be back in Alabama before to long. We love everyone and can't wait to see them all again.

Back to it's glory...

In our New Year's Goal's... we have yet put another check mark on the list. We have been working on the garage, and we basically dug out my old toy box. Steven (my personal handy man) fixed it and now it is perfect. We now have it upstairs and we are deciding what to put in it. I am excited.

This week is zooming past and we looking forward to our Southern Swoop. So far this week Aubrey has not pulled a stick and she is looking forward to sharing some Sparkly Grape Juice with Aunt Nikki. We will keep everyone updated, I wish I could haul a bunch of water for everyone.

Back on board.

Hey everyone. Sorry, we took a week long break. We loved it. We have busy none the less. Instead of posting we have been working. Last weekend we took down Christmas. However, we realized that we would not be able to store things the way have in the past. So Steve had to do some work making new space in the attic.

You see it will not be to long before Jamie climbs out of the crib. He has already tried in the pack and play at Jen's. So, he will move into the guest room before too long. With all this being said, we (Steve) had to put more flooring down in the attic. Now we have all this room. I worked on the extra china from the garage and put away wedding dishes. So, then we cleaned up the garage. We are now able to exercise in there. So at night we have been working in there. We have been through every box from high school, was that a hoot or what? Aubrey and Jamie are enjoying all these toys from Steven's childhood. Steve has been working on my toy box from when I was little. I laughed as he was working on it...all I could think about was baptizing Nikki (my sister) in it when we were little. However, Mom said we ought not play that. So yeah, a busy week.

Jamie has been a bit under the weather. He has a viral infection. I took him to the doctor on Wednesday. Here are a few pictures from throughout the week. Here is Aubrey practicing her two wheeler as she calls it. She is really nervous.

Here she is Friday night. We all celebrated, Aubrey had "No Sticks" this week and we busted open this Sparkling Grape Juice.
Monkey see...Monkey do! You see Aubrey is looking at her Sea Monkeys. Then Jamie learns to climb too!
We are looking forward to a great week. Maybe even more posts!
