Back to the BLOG...

This week has been really busy. Monday, Steven worked late and I had the kids. My favorite the part of the day was Aubrey and I telling silly ghost stories on the way home. She and I had a blast and she was really dramatic about it. When is she not dramatic?

Tuesday, you know is dance. Aubrey got to dress up (they had a Halloween Party) at dance. She wore her white dress that Grandma Robin sent. She was so excited. Then we went to the Blue Ribbon again for dinner. The girls really like to eat there (for the Balloons) I think. After we eat we rush and rush to get to bed.

Last night, I had to go to the funeral home to see my dear friend Heather. Her sister-in-law passed away on Monday. While Jamie and I were there, Steven and Aubrey carved their pumpkins. She was so excited. Hopefully tonight, I can post pictures. Aubrey also got a card from Grandma Marilyn in the mail for Halloween. She loved it, and it sang "The one-eyed,one-horned, purple people eater". She had to take it to school. Hope that they enjoyed that all day! :) She was really proud.

Tonight we have Aubrey's soccer party! THE END OF SOCCER! Yeah. It helps our week! Steven will be late again.

One last thing. I just want Heather to know that we are thinking about you and Steve. Your whole family is in our thoughts and prayers.

The Roger's Big Bash!

Yesterday we didn't do too much. We had our last soccer game. While she played Jamie and I voted. The polls were at the Community Center where the soccer fields are. When we finished, Steven ran over and voted. We were lucky to get this accomplished with having to do it on a week day. Especially on a Tuesday, it is possible for Steven to put tights on Aubrey for dance, however...he'd rather not.

Anyway, last night we went to the Roger's for a Halloween Party. We had a great time. Cindy worked so hard, everything was beautiful. We had great time. After everyone left, we got the kids to bed and played a few rounds of Catch-Phrase with just the adults. We had a great time playing. The girls won! Girl Power!

Today was a nice relaxing day. We slept in to 8:30 (which is great for us)! Then we went church, we tried a new church with our friends Janelle and Nate (and Caiden) Woody. We have been going to the Methodist Church here in Mebane, but we wanted to try their church with them. It was nice. We are glad they invited us. We are looking forward to our trip to the Biltmore with them. Maybe we can see Kerry Wallace while we are there. I haven't seen her since our reunion.
I can't wait to see all the Christmas Trees.

What a long week!

I am so glad that Friday night is finally here. With the colds and Steven's trip we are spent. We rushed home, no Sam's Club or anything. We we got home, out into the yard we went. Aubrey wanted to go outside and she has been a bit deprived lately. So, we said sure. Steven stuck a Kashi pizza in the oven for us and met up down at the Muse's. There were a few houses out playing. It was nice. Especially since it is supposed to rain this weekend. We were out for maybe an hour. Everyone seems to be doing well. TJ is about to do a rotation at vet office in a Ohio. Luckily, it is only like for 2 weeks. He is excited. He finishes vet school in May and they just about have the days counted.

Tomorrow consists of voting, soccer, and a Halloween Party at the Rogers. We are really excited about that. Well, it is time to get them to bed. Chat with you all tomorrow.

Sniffles!

I hope this passes soon. We all are drained. Steven took Jamie to his 6 month check-up today. He is up to 19 pounds now. He is in the 75th percentile in weight and 50th percentile in height. He had shots and then went back to school. He has handled it well, our little trooper.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA ROBIN!
We wish you much happiness today. We tried to call, I hope you painted the town!

Our Afternoon:

So, Steven and I drove separate to work, due to Jamie's check up. Aubrey had soccer practice. Which is another rush-rush afternoon on Thursdays. So, when we got off we met at the bus to get our cars. Once we got our cars, we were held up in traffic for over 30-minutes! Very stressful, when trying to make soccer practice. So, we did make it to daycare, then...we split. I did the normal Jamie routine and he did his Aubrey thing. They stopped by Jamie's room to say goodbye. When Jamie finished his bottle and I gathered his stuff we headed to the car. I unlocked the car where Jamie sits. Hummm, no car seat! I was afraid that. Steven has already made it to the interstate by this time! Pure sick, all I could do was giggle! I called Steven just laughing! I told him to come back and get Jamie! So, we missed soccer needless to say. However, I had a VERY QUIET ride home, no music, no crying, screaming, not even gabbing! The pure quiet tone of the tires rotating on the interstate was such a beautiful sound. I called to Steven and told him I was headed to Wal-Mart, I need to get something for a pot luck. I went by myself! How nice.

This was our evening, we have the Polliwogs in bed, and we have a game to watch!

It's my birthday...

All done and ready for bed.

So, all the bottles are ready, the clothes are laid out, polliwogs are snoring, what else could you ask for...huummm, a complete nights sleep! Who knows what the night will bring, other than another year to my age! Yuck!

So last night I skipped a night from the blog world. We all have colds and I got them to bed on time so, I followed not to long after. Aubrey came to our room about 1:30, she told me she had a bad dream, so we went potty and I laid with her for a little while, praying that I would not fall asleep. Then I went back to bed. A little while later she came back in there, at that point I let her climb in the bed with us. Then about 3:30 Jamie woke up wanting a bottle. Thank goodness Steven took care of him. Then 5:00 the alarm went off...up we rose. Steven had to fly out to NY this afternoon, so as Aubrey would say " I am the boss". I will have to get up no matter what...feel free to call him on his cell throughout the night...he will not mind...too much! We could be even then. :)

He has a meeting with Hannah's mother tomorrow. He is meeting with several other researchers from all around. This is such an exciting time in his career, with such high stakes for such an amazing little girl.

So, on a funny note. My husband! Hummm...we just complete each other so well. You see, I notice the simple things. He is always tackling the monsterest of monsters. I see eye level and climb up and he looks up and completely lassos the moon! Where I am going with this is...we did not ride together. We drove separate, due him going to the airport. So, I left early. He followed behind later. HE LEFT THE GARAGE DOOR OPEN! Most men would think...ahhh the tools (thanks to Bernie), I thought "MY CATS". We have a cat door going in to the garage. Luckily the neighbors began calling, Jen happened to be at work she told me, and Vanessa across the street called Steve. They all knew that this is not normal. Both Aimee and Vanessa got the garage door closed and the cats accounted for. But, relating back to the moon...I always notice the garage door! We are lucky to have each other! Speaking of, you know Oct 20th yesterday, was 13 years since our first date, Homecoming our senior year.

Last note, hope that things are going well Gigi.

No big news today.

This morning was pretty easy. Steven ran to the grocery store and worked on the bookcase again. The polliwogs and I did a little shopping. Aubrey needs cold weather clothes, so we went to grab a few things. There really isn't much out right now. She loves dresses, and I only found 2. Anyway, we got enough to start and she is excited. I think her favorite thing was the new PJ's and Panties. So, there wasn't much to be excited about today. We are ready for a new week.

What a great day.

Yesterday morning we were a little sluggish getting going. We played around until time to get ready for pictures. We were having Jamie's 6 month pictures made today. Can you believe that he his now 6 months.

Today we went to the fair. That is what I wanted for my birthday from Steve. I wanted to watch Aubrey have a great time. I could remember going to the fair in Mobile when I was her age. I remember the excitement and the lights. Plus, I don't even know how many times we went to the fair in Jackson! Our neighbor friend Aimee went with us too. Aubrey had so much fun. On the way home she said she had too much Cotton Candy. Her tummy hurt. We all shared a turkey leg, a roasted corn on the cob, a blooming onion, candy apple, and a funnel cake. I am sure she did feel like Templeton, from Charlotte's Web. We saw many cows, sheep (even in leotards), rabbits, goats and all kinda prize winning animals. Also, we saw pumpkins for Kyle. Even better, Aubrey saw her bears!!! She looked all last weekend for bears at the mountains. We went to the fair and they had a bear exhibit. She enjoyed seeing them swinging in the tire swings. Jamie was a complete doll there. He just watched and studied people, he never complained. I thought that I would share a picture of Aubrey knocked out in the car. Jamie was wide awake, and didn't want in his car seat.
We are having a great Fall. What is next? Maybe the Zoo!
