Jottings from Aubrey
One day I came home and found a elephant in my yard.
I didn't want to hurt the elephant's feelings but, I had to get that elephant home. So, I tried to hit her with a stick. She took the stick and hit me with it. Ahhhh! I screamed! Ahhhhh! An elephant is hitting me! Ahhh!
Next, I put a trail of peanuts to the road. The big problem was that she reached her long trunk out to the road and grabbed it. Then the elephant took the peanuts right out of my hand! Then I ran out of peanuts.
Last I could not think of anything else to do so I hired a mouse. I didn't think that it would work but then, the elephant ran away! She was so scared she almost had an accident. Once she had was gone I screamed...Yay!
I was sad to see the mouse chase the elephant to Africa, but I sure am happy I got that elephant off elephant off my yard! Now I have to tell why there is a big hole in my yard.

**Mom's Insight**
Wow, a look in to Aubrey view on life is very interesting. Now, I must say that she was born in Nashville, TN. Shortly, after being born, we noticed a small place inside her mouth on the right side of her check. I called the doctor, worried that she had a blister from her feedings. They advised me to put some Vaseline on it and if doesn't get smaller in a few days bring her in. Of coarse the blister did not get smaller. It was the brightest of reds, and I felt like it needed to be checked. So, my doctor was out the day of my appointment, but I agreed to see another physician. She simply told me it was a Hemangioma. She said it was no big deal, and she spelled it out on a piece of paper and told me to go home and Google it, and I could get more information from the internet. I was satisfied. I got home put Aubrey in her wooden cradle that Papa Ed had made her. After getting her to sleep, I slipped into the office, and searched the internet for Hemangioma. With in minutes I was in tears, and on the phone with Steven. It was horrific news to me. I was back into my bedroom, holding Aubrey crying and telling her I was so sorry! I could not imagine how bad her beautiful little face was going to morph into this horrific sight that I found from the images on the internet. Before long we had her back to our pediatrician, he had us see a specialist at Vanderbilt. He agreed that it was growing fast, and that it would need some treatment. When she was three months old we went into surgery. She had her cheek laser, and then again at the age of 6months we had the same treatment. We were blessed that this treatment was successful, and that we only had to put her through two treatments and best of all that insurance covered it!
Now, her tooth story (more factual account).
We had been to a wedding. She was all dressed up in a pretty little dress. She was 18months. She had been playing with Mr. Potato Head and his friends. She for some reason ran from the kitchen into the living room, and tripped and fell on Mr. Potato Head. When she fell, she knocked her left front tooth back. It was very sad, yet again, a first time mother worried to death. We called and they said she would be fine with us pushing it back into place, and to watch it for the next few days. With time it begin to darken. The dentist had seen her adult tooth in x-rays, so he was not to worried. However, when she was four, it was time to have it removed. She actually had broke it on a lolly-pop. It chipped the dense tooth, so they removed it. Now, she has perfect two front teeth, which we had worried for the longest if she would have them both. But, they are perfect.
It was very interesting looking in to her life from her view. Now, I have one more story that she wrote this week. I want to share it too. Mainly, because you never know what they are going to tell at school. It was very humbling to see her story.
You have to believe me! This really happened. (the teacher's beginning)
One day my great grandmother passed away and it was really sad. I loved her very much! She was the best the grannie great in the world to me. One bright and early day me, my brother and my mom where on our way to school just passing by the post office and my mother got a phone call. (It was my Papa). I could tell her face was sad and she stopped at the post office and turned around and she told me that my grannie great was passing away at that moment. So we turned around to the house to pack up. Then we stayed at the house for an hour or two then we went to the hair salon to get Jamie's a hair cut. Then we were on our way. It takes about ten hours to get there.(That is a long time). But, every break we would stop and get a snack. Then we would be on our way. Once we got there, we all go together. The next day we went to the funeral. Everyone that came looked sad. But that was the day that we just to see her, the next say was the real day. Then we had lunch and we had dinner. Today is the real funeral were they packed her up in the grave with her husband and I think my ant. I loved her very much, But guess what, my MiMi gave me a rose and that made my frown turn upside down! And guess what after we were done with the funeral we got to do a party, we got to eat pumpkin pie. I liked it a lot. And then I played on the hammock with my cousin. She is fun and funny. We were kind of board so we asked if we could go see the cows, and they said...Yes! Yay! We shouted, running towards the cows. But, pretty soon we got tired of the cows and asked if we could see the horses. And guess what they said...Yes! Yay, we shouted! They said as long as someone goes with you. Hannah and my Uncle Tyler went with us. We ran to the horses. We love horses. We petted them for a long time. Then it was time to go. I saw some keys in my cousins hand so I asked her what are those keys for? Her Mom and her Dad said these are our keys to Florida. We live in Florida. I whispered, WOW! Then, they headed on the road. The the next day we had to go.
The End
You never know what will come home on your Pollies' paper!
