Picking Weeds

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

So, we have been working hard with Aubrey with chores and
teaching her responsibility.
She works a list weekly and humbly looks for more.
She is all about earning money, and saving her profits for big ticket items.
Which, as long as she sets goals we are happy.
During this time of year, she tries to earn more money,
and she knows she can by picking weeds.
She loves to pick weeds, I don't know if it is the $,
or the green thumb from her genes, that drives this most mundane task.
This is where she spent her afternoon.

Eight bags and $8.00 later, the sun has set!

Now, the other Polliwog was more of a handful.
He would sneak in for attacks on to Aubrey's piles of weeds.
Which you may have guessed this would turn into an argument.
But, this little monster-est beast, seemed enjoy mashing Aubrey's buttons.

Tonight, I had the pleasure to read to Jamie.
His choices tonight were the Pirate book and a Curious George book.
Both of them were fun, however, I felt like I was dealing more with a Pirate tonight! Arr!
Aubrey did her reading for school.
After her reading, Dad slipped in to continue their little ritual.
They started reading "Harry Pottery" a few days ago.
I don't know who is enjoying this time more, Aubrey...Dad...or

the mice.
Yeah, she still has her two mice. They are doing well.

We are looking forward to an easy weekend, but that is our secret!
Shhh...nothing planned on the calendar!
This Friday-Eve is very exciting!
