Ahhh, I must say that today was the most relaxing day we have had in a long time. Steven and I laid in bed " Hunkered Down" until after 9:00 this morning with the Pollies climbing in and out of bed all morning. They would play for a while and then climb back in for some more loving. When we finally had enough of the weather channel Steven decided to make some omelets. Yay for Daddy! After brunch we headed up to Jamie's room to play cars. We had all of the ramps and all of these crazy matchbox cars parked everywhere. It was not long before we head down for naps. Jamie and I were in pure nap bliss. Aubrey and Dad found other ways to use their free time. But after 3:00 we were actually up and going! We were off to a special little man's birthday party. We had a blast! Happy Birthday sweet little Michael. Needless to say, Irene...thanks for slowing things down for us!
Now, for last night...Irene, you could have held off for another hour! We had "Backyard Movie Night" planned for a few weeks. We had a great turn out, and the temperature was perfect! We got about an hour into the movie, and all of a sudden, the rain came down!! We had to blitz everything. It was almost like I had thrown a party at my parents house and they came home early (which I know nothing about)! I have to say, we had a great time, and we are so thankful to have so many close friends here in Mebane. Thank you all for a great and safe "Hurricane Party"! Here are a few shots from last night, they are not the best, but you can get an idea of how much fun we had! Maybe we can squeeze in one more movie night before it gets to cold!
