Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit? We didn't. Again it is really hard. Steven reminded me before we left the house, and I was bummed for a moment. Anyway, today was December 1st. When we came home an elf was sitting at our door step (in a box of course). All the way from the north pole. Santa sent him. Here is a picture of Aubrey opening the box.
So, we opened the package and told Aubrey that tonight daddy would read about the elf in the book at bedtime. All night she would ask questions about this elf. We would tell her we don't know that we have to read the book. So, after bath time we watched some of Twice upon a Christmas. After that it was straight to bed with the elf book.
Tonight she learned a few things about this elf. You have to give it a name. Every night it flies home to the North Pole to speak with Santa about how you acted, (naughty or nice). When it comes back each day it will be in a different place, and she will have to look for him. She can never touch him...its magic will rub off and it can never go home. So, we will keep you informed on the elf...! I can't wait to see what she will name him. (PS-Mom, thanks for this new tradition).
Robin, you are going to get a kick out what this elf looks like. It looks so much like the elves that you gave me that was on your tree we you were a little girl.
So, one more of our other little Polliwog:
