What a nice day in January

After Aubrey decided not to get a nap, we decided to go for a walk. Robin and I took her around the block so she could practice on her scooter that Papa gave her. She informed Robin that the "scooter" does work very well. "It" keeps falling down. So we took her out to practice.

When we got back there were other kids out. So, we played.

Grandma taught Aubrey Hopscotch.

Then Grandma helped Aubrey prepare to ride her bike.
Aubrey asked for a race. They quickly changed her mind for Grandma to chase her, I suppose that was so she could be in the front.

Steven and Grandpa began to grill. They cooked a great meal. Salmon and Kabobs, yummy.
When Jamie woke, Grandma brought him out to see everyone.

The kids decided to do some sidewalk bowling. Taking turns is really hard for Aubrey. She always wants to be in control and tell everyone how they should do things. This sometimes causes problems.

We went and asked Kelly to play. She is fun.

Grandma was a great help. She is on Jamie's favorites list.

Another game of Trouble. Aubrey really likes this game.

Jamie and I played while Aubrey and Grandma read. The guys were still cooking!

After dinner and her bath she wanted one last game. She Steven and Grandma played. Sorry Aubrey your luck must have washed off in the tub. Grandma won this one and she did the best
victory dance.

So, one last book.
This is the Tag book that she got for Christmas. She really likes it. Tami read it to her a lot as well. You see this pen reads the actual book for her. You just touch the words. It is really cool. We like the fact that it is teacher her the concepts of reading. You know top to bottom, left to right, individual words. The basics.

So, I know that it looks like Bernie is reading now to Steven. But, actually this truly interested him on how this can work. So, he and Steven were examing the pen. NERDS!!! We love them.

So, this is this morning. Steven and a snoring Jamie talking to Grandma Marilyn. Their Sunday morning date. We woke back into the norm. Grandma and Grandpa slipped out early this morning. I hope that they have a great day back in Nashville.
