Busy Weekend

We have been working had to get our Christmas trees put away. We got most of the trees done yesterday, however we have a little bit more to attack today. Steven had some work to do for his job on the computer yesterday, so I have been trying to entertain Aubrey as much as possible. Yesterday she learned what a bum was. She saw a man on the side of the road with a sign. She wanted to know what the sign said. I told her. I explained that he was asking for money. She said that she worked hard for her money and he wasn't getting hers. She said that he could have mine. I told her that we don't open the windows and give money that it could be dangerous. We can't trust him. She said her door was locked! Anyway, I told her that he needed to get a job and get his own money. She said yeah, he needs to do some chores, right Momma?

So, after all of this her wheels began to turn. She decided that she could go shopping with her money. She wanted to buy Horton, the new movie, just like Aimee's. Aimee let her borrow it and she wanted her own. She also wanted the Barbie that she gave Jayden. She went to Wal-Mart to shop with me. (Jamie was asleep and Steven was working.) She brought $25.00.
So, first off, she roamed the aisles "in her area". She could not find the Barbie, it was gone. She saw this "Meadow Mansion" that she wanted, it was $11.00. Then there was this beautiful bouncy ball, it had water with glitter..."PINK" glitter in it. It was beautiful to her...she wanted it also. The Meadow Mansion has seeds and you can grow stuff in it. She loved it too. After she put these items in the buggy (the cart), she headed straight to find HORTON. We got there, it was $20.00, she didn't have enough money, she wanted to call her dad she was upset. Now imagine her with her purse on her shoulder, and cell phone to her ear...SHE IS ONLY 5!!!! She was killing me, I wanted to laugh. Steven tried to get her to borrow Aimee's movie and she would have enough money. But, no she wanted these things. So, Steven knew that she had more money at home in change, so he said that I could pay for them and when she got home she would have to pay me back right away. So, then we went back to the bouncy ball, I said we better find out how much this is. She asked the man at the register to scan it. He said $8.00!!! I was blown away. Can you believe that a ball was $8.00, it just had glitter in it. I told her that she need to put it away that it cost too much. She was so upset, the gentleman asked her if she wanted it and she said yes. He said "I will buy it for you"! I said "NO"! Thank you, but she has to learn. She is going to have to work for that ball, she is going to do her chores and she will be back to purchase that special pink glitter ball, that cost $8.00!

So, last night before she went to bed she and Steven rolled quarters and she payed me back the $33.00 (all in change) that she spent at Wal-Mart. She is working for her ball though. She took all the ornaments off her tree, and she has been helping take out the recycling. She also cleans here sink every night where she brushes her teeth, and she's cleaning her room right now. She just might get that ball.

Jamie has be saying Da-Da...a lot! I lose again!!!! Oh, well... it is cute. He can now sit up by himself. He isn't sure about this "NO..NO..." stuff I keep saying to him!

We saw the saw the same big glitter bouncy ball at dicks. Dalton carried this pink ball all through the store. He was so good in the store that I was going to but him a prize until I saw that it was 9 bucks. Dicks is more pricey than wal mart I guess. I had even sent him back to get another color because I thought he could find a more boyish one. But he really wanted that pink one. We got Horton the other night too. It's like we're living the same LIFE, scary. Only my husband doesn't do work on the computer:)
